Spanish-Inspired wedding inspiration in New Orleans
So who else is psyched that summer is officially on its way? Before the festivities begin, had to share this wedding inspiration Greer Gattuso shot at Il Mercato in New Orleans… It’s the perfect thing to put you in a celebratory mood. The team at Distressed | Rentals & Revival wanted to give the whole organic theme a fresh new twist, and it sure turned out romantic.
With the trend of natural and organic styles being so big, we embraced the opportunity to take a new approach to organic, having all of the things we love so much about “natural”—wood grains, greenery, the light earthy textures of the walls and terra cotta, linen, and pottery. But we wanted to pair it with a few opposites for a fresh twist—copper, steel, clean lines, leather, black, and touches of color.
Kim Starr Wise included daring color choices + even citrus in the floral arrangements.
Melissa’s Fine Pastries created an incredible, custom designed hammered copper cake that kept the style both natural and modern, and we incorporated a single jazz musician from Kinfolk Brass Band (one the famous second line bands that make weddings in New Orleans quite the party!) to do something a little different—play some romantic rhythms for sunset dancing, and it was a beautiful thing.
Weren’t all these natural light film images by Greer Gattuso so incredible too? Have a wonderful Memorial Day everyone!
