Before we officially kick off the new year, we wanted to take a moment to look back on those top weddings and parties that made 2023 so memorable. In many ways, 2023 felt like a return to normal when it came to weddings and events. But these days, it’s less about your guest count and so much more about the experience. We saw couples channeling the top trends and going all out with creative details. On Instagram, it was emotional moments and extravagant celeb weddings that topped the most-liked list. And many of them launched trends we’ll be loving for the year ahead.
Top Real Weddings
It’s no surprise that one of our top weddings of the year was this Hilton Head wedding, with a bride in a showstopping pink wedding dress and her adorable white bridesmaids carrying flower baskets instead of bouquets. Everything from the cheerful, beachy invitations to the bride’s mini dress at the party was equal parts fun and chic. | See the wedding!
Where are our maximalist brides at?! Our Meridian House wedding from early last year was an expert lesson in mixing prints, bold color, and unexpected elements, while keeping the design elegant and romantic. From the moment we saw these jewel toned blooms and intricate invitation suite, we knew this would be one of our top weddings of the year. | See the wedding!
Tiffany and Aaron’s spring wedding checked off so many of our favorite trends (like that beautiful bow wedding dress!) yet every detail remains timeless and romantic with their blush and champagne palette. Not to mention, the photo-worthy Valentine DTLA as their venue! | See the wedding!
Another gorgeous take on maximalism, creatives Alexandra + David stunned with warm jewel tones and vibrant blooms at the San Francisco University Club, and our bride wowed guests with her incredible Oscar De La Renta gown. | See the wedding!
But not all of our top weddings were maximalist affairs! With a “less is more” approach, Angelique + Bryce let their museum venue shine, complementing it with chic, formal fashion, vintage touches, and soft lighting to match the mood. | See the wedding!

Personal details abound in this rustic garden wedding we shared last summer, where the couple were surprised during their wedding ceremony with a gospel choir performance! Is anyone as obsessed with Italy weddings as we are?! We love the bride’s style in this romantic Tuscany wedding, not to mention the incredible villa venue, poolside cocktails, and candlelit dinner. One of our very favorite children’s parties in recent years, this “Hello, Hello” inspired animal 1st birthday party by Amorology featured an endless array of beautiful details and lots of fun for both littles and grownups. You were just as blown away as we were by this zoo-themed birthday party, that was anything but ordinary! The jungle cruise theme by Deets & Things was seriously next level, from the life-sized animals to the petting zoo to the favors and more. | See the party!
