So, that magical photo above? Totally unplanned during Rocío + Luis’ portrait sesh with Daniel of People Producciones after the romantic ceremony you’re about to see. They saw the sheep along the countryside, and Daniel was able to get some unforgettable shots. Rocío says, Thinking about this moment I have realized that despite planning everything carefully, there will always be unexpected events, but fortunately some of them are even better than your initial plan. Isn’t that amazing?
They fell in love with the ranch, Finca Casa de los Oficios, in Torremocha del Jarama, a small village in the Madrid countryside. Um yeah… We can kinda see why.
Rocío says, The religious ceremony was celebrated in a little Romanesque church and it was beautiful and warm. While I was walking to the altar, the soprano was singing “La Vita è Bella” and the groom started to weep emotionally. He had such feeling that he passed it on to the guests. It was one of the most sentimental moments of the day.
This shot! The bridal bouquet had peonies, roses, blue speedwell, white astrantia, little daisies, and olive branch.
The day’s DIY projects… We wanted our wedding to feel personal, so I designed the invitations and the envelopes. We printed, cut and folded every single invitation at home. We hand-painted vintage mugs with the guests’ initials. Also, with my mother and younger sister’s help, we handmade mostly everything: the seating chart, photobooth, candy bar, wedding favors, etc. The final touch was the customized wooden cake toppers and table signs designed by Knots Made with Love.
Music for a Spanish countryside wedding…
• Processional: La Vita è Bella by Nicola Piovani (Soprano + Spanish Guitar)
• Recessional: Over the Rainbow by Y. Harburg & H. Arlem
• Cocktail Hour: A live acoustic guitar + voice session by friends
• First Dance: Fly Me To The Moon by Frank Sinatra & George Strait
Congrats you two!
