Vintage primary color wedding ideas

May 11, 2010

We have a super cute wedding shoot today, sent to us by Megan of Honey and Poppies. Her parents opened a flower shop when she was two and she grew up among the pretty stems and petals. As you can imagine, she LOVES flowers and she’s also got a soft spot for books. She’s been really into the trend of incorporating books into wedding design, and wanted to do something bigger with this shoot.

Enter ceremony arch made with bookcases! Such a cute idea Megan. And while this would take a bit of work to create and set up, it would be an EPIC DIY project for a wedding.

Plus book-themed invite and pretty primary palette.

And test tubes filled with wildflower seeds for favors, which included a perfect quote by John Galsworthy:

“Love is no hot-house flower, but a wild plant, born of a wet night, born of an hour of sunshine; sprung from wild seed, blown along the road by a wild wind. A wild plant that, when it blooms by chance within the hedge of our gardens, we call a flower; and when it blooms outside we call a weed; but, flower or weed, whose scent and colour are always, wild!”

Ooooo. Good table number idea.

So pretty, Megan! We know how much thought and work and creativity goes into these shoots and we thank you so much for sharing this one with us.
