Happy Monday, Cakelets! We can’t decide who’s luckier: Andie + Bo, for scoring the Glendeven Inn in Mendocino for their wedding, complete with a llama pasture and the cutest bunch of baby animals, or Feather Love Photography for being able to capture it all. Total bummer that no one got to see the beribboned maypole Andie + Bo designed as the alter because of the last minute addition of a rain tent for the ceremony.
Enter handsome llamas and the cutest of baby animals, check.
Would you believe us if we told you that by the end of the night Andie’s Oscar de la Renta gown ended up with about a foot of mud on the hem? Luckily, there is no photo of this. Not sure we’d be able to handle!
The mismatched vintage silver tea sets used for the flower arrangements were all purchased from Etsy and eBay by Andie and her mother, all dating from the 1920’s to 1960’s. Many had beautiful old monograms, some had a little wobble and others with leaky spouts, but that just added to their charm.

I bought the vintage cake topper from Etsy. When it arrived I found a handwritten note tucked into the base from the couple who had originally owned it – with their wedding date, 1945. Bo and I loved that we were sharing our wedding with this unnamed couple from so long ago, and we added our wedding date to the note too in hopes one day another couple will do the same.
