Taylor and Drake are a stylish, fun-loving couple who never shy away from a creative challenge. (In fact, they were all about adding some funky details here and there.) So when it came time to say I Do, their friends and fam knew they were guaranteed an unforgettable experience. Set beneath the sweeping oak trees of The Addison Grove just outside Austin, T + D’s May wedding was a masterclass in floral expression, personal style, and throwing a joyful, offbeat party with heart. The florals by 100 Layer Cake Guide Member Wild Bunches Floral, and captures by Light as Gold, prove just what a dreamy day it all was.
A Garden Inspired Addison Grove Wedding
Inspired by Taylor’s love for sculptural, non-traditional blooms, their floral design was anything but expected. Picture gloriosa lilies, protea, orchids, and tropical stems dancing together in wildly organic arrangements that felt more like modern art than florals. The aisle was flanked with a lush mix of tropical and local greenery, guiding guests toward a ceremony backdrop that channeled an overgrown garden—deliberately funky, slightly wild, and totally magical.
And Taylor’s bridal look? Jaw. Dropping. She wore a showstopping Eisen Stein gown that struck the perfect balance between ethereal and editorial. Her bridesmaids were styled in a perfectly mismatched palette of greens and rust, while the flower girls twirled down the aisle in seafoam green with playful flower crowns. It all felt like a dream pulled from a 1970s botanical art book with a modern twist.
A Lush Ceremony Lined with Plants
Following the ceremony, a brass band—yes, a live brass band!—paraded the newlyweds into cocktail hour, setting the tone for a night that was equal parts elegant and electric. Guests mingled under the Texas sky with signature cocktails in hand, like the Thai Basil Martini and “The Drake” Frozen Margarita (a crowd favorite).
Such gorgeous pressed flower escort cards to channel their earthy, whimsical theme.
The Barn at The Addison Grove
No shortage of color and texture here.
Dinner and dancing took place in the venue’s 6,000 square foot barn, with its giant doors flung open to let the late spring breeze flow through. Espresso martinis and late-night snacks kept the energy going well into the night. And in perhaps the most iconic outfit change of the year, Taylor and Drake slipped into matching strawberry-print high-top sneakers for the dance party—a move that was just as fun as it was fashionable.
From the garden-gone-wild ceremony to the heartfelt, high-energy celebration, every moment of this day was a bold expression of the couple’s vision. Taylor and Drake brought their full selves to the planning process, resulting in a wedding that was super stylish, wildly fun, and full of soul.
Cheers to the Howards!
