How about some good vibes around here? Back when life was all business as usual, we’d planned to share these fun, flirty festival themed wedding ideas from Stephy’s Bride Guide right as the season kicked off. But now, with many weddings postponed, and Coachella itself rescheduled for the fall perhaps they can be of *even more* tangible inspiration with the added time to plan… Just stayin’ positive here! Thanks to Ariele Chapman for sharing the photos below!
All good weddings and parties start with rad invites like this colorful suite from Hand Lettered Market & Rentals.
The team chose Hangar 21 as a fun little nod to all the chic Coachella-goers traveling to the desert to celebrate. Have you ever seen a chandelier with a flower crown?!Stephy’s Bride Guide tells us, Coachella is an inspiration to so many of us, including me. From the trend setting styles, the bright and bold colors, the art installations, the food that is just so Instagram-able, to the people gathering together to see their favorite artist perform—there is a reason Coachella is the festival of festivals. My team and I figured why not make a wedding inspired shoot that would bring all of those amazing elements together; where the headliner and main event is really the couple declaring their love for each other in front of their closest friends and family. Festival season is the season of love and joy for so many of us. The Cotton Cart didn’t just bring the sweets… but all those cutie photo opps, too.
We wanted the florals (by Fox & Flora) to be the focal point of the shoot. BOLD, BIG, BRIGHT, those were the key factors in this shoot. We wanted to embrace all the good feelings that colorful bouquets give us, and add fun little feathers in it too. The wedding altar was an amazing art installation of both live and dried florals, including giant painted palm fronds and pampas grass. We wanted a free-standing altar where the bride and groom could pronounce their love in front of each other.
‘Bout time we talked about that custom handmade veil, dontcha think? Mags Crafted Veils sewed a giant peace sign adorned in ribbons and flowers onto their bride’s veil for a statement as over-the-top as their blooms. Her Theia Couture gown from Styled by TC elevated the look and added an element of surprise for everyone expecting a festival wedding in a boho dress.
