As you might notice while wedding planning, not every person has the exact same aesthetic as their spouse-to-be. (Wouldn’t that be nice!) Nikki is a boho gal while Tom is more modern, and once you know that it’s easy to see how their Los Angeles Lombardi House nuptials repped them so, so well. It helps that she’s a designer + planner at The Standard Union, and he’s a graphic designer—skills they put to use with lots of rustic, boho DIY projects and décor throughout the chic, modern venue.

Sweetest first look!
The wood signs, napkins, name cards, yarn hanging, and photo wood frame were all created by the bride + groom. See more of their DIY wedding inspiration on Pinterest!
Think we know who the real star of the show was here… Too cute.
With just 55 guests and a very family-oriented design, they loved how intimate their venue was. Not to mention, the dreamy reception setup you’ll see below.
As for this bohemian Rue De Seine dress from The Dress Theory in San Diego, you might recognize it as the classic ‘Beau’ gown. Instead of opting for bell sleeves, though, Nikki went for short cuffs. Love how it makes it a bit more modern rather than quintessential boho, don’t you?
Nikki tells it, We took a vintage Rolls Royce to take our photos in the hills of Hollywood—golden light was everywhere, I hiked up in my dress, and we had time away from everything where it sunk in that we were now husband and wife. Our photographer was playing all our favorite tunes so that was just so much fun!
Would you believe that Nikki planned the entire thing in four months, BTW? She knew what vendors she wanted right away, so after that it was all about sticking to their personal style and not getting *too* influenced by what everyone else was doing.
One last peek at these Native Poppy blooms for ya…
All our best to Tom and Nikki and their sweet fam!
