Happy hump day, Cakies! How fun is this photo of Cory + his bride Daniella of Little Miss Party at Toronto’s Airship 37? This is actually part of the outdoor space at the venue, which totally jives with C + D’s playful style. She tells it, Cory and I wanted our wedding to reflect our fun and whimsical personalities. After we got engaged we started talking about what our wedding would look like and both decided the details should speak to our easygoing nature with simple and fresh accents. We wanted our guests to leave remembering the great time they had and the love that filled the room.
Thanks to Magnolia Studios for sharing the photos in this post!
A whimsical wedding bouquet recipe: anemones, peonies, garden roses, roses, sweet peas, scabiosa, astilbe, asclepias, fern, smokebush, protea, dahlia, ranunculus.
This Sarah Seven wedding dress… Too sweet!
Daniella says, The ceremony space was effortlessly chic. Becky from Blush & Bloom created lush, floral hoops to serve as a backdrop. Against a crisp white wall, this was a statement piece. We decided to ask our guests to be unplugged during our wedding ceremony. We love that it’s beginning to be more common. It is the best way for a ceremony to feel intimate—no matter what the size of the wedding is.
Those floral wreaths really do pop, don’t they?
Heading into the reception, we wanted to keep a clean and minimal design. Our centerpieces and floral backdrop did most of the talking. All of the tables were adorned with modern and geometric candleholders in a mix of metals. Table numbers were kept very simple—a geometric frame with a white vinyl number in the center. All of the printed items were very modern and minimal. Our favors were mini wine bottles with a personalized label.
One of our favourite (and easiest) wedding planning tasks was designing our cake. For an all-white cake, this was a true showstopper. Emily from Crumb & Berry created a hexagon base cake with two round tiers of white-on-white chevron. It was absolutely modern geometric perfection. We really wanted to stay away from a traditional cake topper, so we mixed things up a bit by putting flowers in a small geometric vase.
Congratulations, you two! See more Toronto weddings at Airship 37 here.
