Happy Thursday, friends! Fun fact about our bride Lori’s gown: picking her dress was the easiest part of wedding planning for her. Once she found Rue De Seine‘s Avril gown, she never looked back! Thanks to our guide member Jen Wojcik, we’ve got plenty more shots of le gown and the rest of Lori + Nick’s fashionable wedding at one of our fave Palm Springs venues, Korakia Pensione:
We mean… Isn’t this whole place soooo dreamy?
Lori tells it, In the beginning, all I knew was that I wanted it to be unique, bohemian in both style and feel, outside and a true experience—we wanted to make memories our friends and family could cherish with us for the rest of our lives… Although absolutely stunning, I picked the Korakia Pensione because I knew I wanted all of my favorite people in one place. I didn’t want everyone running all over town or worrying about being late. With the Korakia you have to bring in everything for your event and although some may see this as a downside, I saw it as an added bonus. It was a blank (yet beautiful) canvas that I could mold into my masterpiece. I kept tones natural and played off of the colors at the property.
A bold bougainvillea bouquet by Arrangements Design is only fitting to complement such a stylish gown, yeah? We’ve also got the groom + wedding party fashion deets listed at the bottom for ya.
Not to mention how gorg her ‘maids look in these simple, neutral Lovers + Friends dresses.
Having a love for photography and both of us being artistically inclined, I wanted someone to capture the memories of our day just so. What I learned on the wedding day is that, the photographer is telling your story and in our case he or she is also integral in the timeline. Working with Jen was an absolute dream; she was attentive to our needs and helped us move through our day with ease.
John of Planks & Patina created a flow for the landscape with lots of boho chic spots to mingle throughout.
Olive trees, bougainvillea, and the whitewashed walls that reminded me of traveling to Greece, Morocco and Italy—but instead I was in a location that most of my guests could travel to easily. Originally from Northern California, and my husband from Southern California, we found ourselves and our style somewhere along the California coastline. When it came to the big day, I wanted as many details as possible worked out ahead of time, but still left time to grow. Some of the most important details of the day were a last minute addition after traveling to Sayulita for my bachelorette. I was drawn to the pompoms all over the town, and returned with a suitcase full of them and began to incorporate a pop of color throughout our theme.
We’ve got *even more* photos from this Palm Springs wedding in our gallery below…
Congratulations, Lori + Nick!
