Morning guys! We have a fun wedding to share today, not just because Alyssa Marie captured all the chic details of the whole Palm Springs affair, but event designer Samantha + her guy Kyle are familiar faces around here (recall this Parisian engagement party + aloha themed bridal shower?). We love their style and are so happy to see how it all came together for their big day.
We love it when couples find inspo right here on 100LC! Alyssa Marie Photography + Found Vintage Rentals are members of our guide. Samantha says, 100 Layer Cake is my favorite place to go when I am looking for inspiration for my clients and was so helpful in inspiring my own event decor. I feel lucky that 100LC has been a part of my wedding planning journey.
Apart from the ceremony, the event décor and feel of our wedding weekend was the most important to me. I wanted the décor to be classic and elegant, while also modern. I wanted our guests to feel the style of our wedding from the moment they received the save-the-date, cocktail recipe included. From our welcome party on Friday evening to the pool party on Sunday, we were focused on our guest’s enjoyment on their mini-getaway to the desert.

Gold foil was another little theme throughout with all of Samantha’s DIY projects.
My dad built all of our oversized wood signage, our bar façade and the altar where we got married, something that was very special to me. I collected vintage cocktail glasses for months to be used during our reception and had a polka dot dance floor with a chandelier hanging from a palm tree. All of the details made the reception feel more personal and reflective of our style.

S + K were engaged about six months before they really dove in, and from there the biggest challenge was finding the gorg The Cree Estate. Her biggest planning tip: find a space that accommodates what’s most important to you. Gotta take her advice, right? Congrats guys!
