As a wedding photographer for the last four years, Christine knows how different each style of wedding can be. Of course, she didn’t have that resource when her and Donnie tied the knot, so for their 5-year vow renewals they really wanted something that would represent them better. They enlisted designer + florist Jennifer of Jennifer Laura Design to make the dream a reality, and set up at Christine’s parent’s beautiful property.
After having trouble finding the perfect photog for her event (being in the industry can do that to ya!), Christine stumbled across Tessa J.’s website… and the rest is history!
What a bouquet! Jennifer Laura Design incorporated succulents, blue thistles, garden roses, dahlias, wax flower, spray roses, protea, carnations, and greenery pulled from the location.
Christine’s fave moment from the day… The first look with Donnie was other-wordly. Something I’ve always wanted to do. I tapped his shoulder, and he turned around. I had a hard time holding back the tears because he was just too darn handsome. That beard that he’d been working on, his suspenders (which he would totally never wear otherwise), and his boots. Be still, my heart. He said I looked amazing, and we smooched. Not too much, though, I didn’t want to lose my lipstick or get it all over him!
Love this ribbon theme throughout. Christine says, Geometrics played a big part of the decor, along with rustic and eclectic elements. We’re laidback and simple, and what we wanted most out of the vow renewals was for everyone we love to gather and have a great time, in a ridiculously pretty set up that was just ‘us’.
The property has a warehouse space that worked well for their 50 guests.
The DIY list: all the signage, piñata, food truck menu; plus more DIYs from Jennifer, like the favors, draping ribbon, s’mores bar, and backdrops.
Does this cake look almost too pretty to eat or what?!
