A picturesque outdoor venue in the forest, vintage soda pop, and an endless supply of pies…sounds like a great way to spend a weekend. It’s also undoubtedly, a perfect way to celebrate a wedding. Especially when you’ve got Hollin Brodeur photographing and styling it. Laura + Dustin’s 120 guest wedding in Big Bear was executed within a budget of 15k, and as charming as could be. All the bits & pieces, plus a cute little French Bulldog, make this wedding a real treat to share with y’all!

Laura’s pretty little Mod Cloth cardigan, paired with that vintage dress she scored at The Way We Wore in LA, has us in full pouty-face mode. 1) The cardigan is no longer available, 2) What are the odds of us finding that gorgeous dress? That Twigs & Honey blush headpiece though? We so want (and it’s available)!

Notice that cutesy little deer Dustin is wearing? It’s a stuffed felt deer Hollin made by painting a few white dots by the tail, and using twigs as antlers.

Two of their closest friends played the acoustic version of Hysteric by Yeah Yeah Yeahs as Lauren walked down the aisle. Listen to it here:

For the ceremony decorations, Hollin drew inspiration from a Japanese art exhibit at the Getty Museum (10+ years ago). She remembered the walkways being lined with large lanterns attached to poles with 2 streaming ribbons flowing down and loved the idea of incorporating it into L + D’s ceremony.
