We know there are lots of ways to do a wedding in Palm Springs. But it’s almost impossible to have a wedding in Palm Springs, at the Viceroy, and not have it be colorful. Kendra + Robb, being somewhat new to Southern California, meet up with Nicole of The Green Ribbon Party Planning Co. to design a wedding where the decor echoed the fun and vibrant feeling of Palm Springs. Yellows, pinks, oranges – they were set. All that was left to do was bring on a team of creatives to make it over the top gorgeous, starting with photographer Annie McElwain.
Paper goods were created by the fabulous ladies of Posh Paperie. Their invites had two different patterns- a multi-colored chevron and multi-colored bubbles. Both patterns were used throughout the wedding.
We like our DIY’s glitzy and easy, so when we saw the gold chandeliers Sugar & Fluff made for Jessica Hische’s wedding, we knew we had to give them a try. Don’t you think they’d look pretty amazing above a family style dinner reception, above you while you say your vows, or even in your own home with a light bulb or two hanging inside? Ok, here’s what you need to get moving:
Katch usually writes to us as a wedding photographer, but this time she wrote to us as a bride! Love when that happens. It makes us wonder what kind of wedding they’ll have, who they’ll have capture it all, and where it will all take place. So what kind of wedding did Katch have? It was a small intimate gathering, photographed beautifully by James Moes, and took place in a hay field in Bigfork, Montana. Katch was never the type to have a fantasy wedding in mind, but if she had been, this would have been it.
It’s time for a new tradition – bridesmaids need something borrowed too! Little Borrowed Dress is the first online wedding boutique to offer bridesmaid dresses for rent starting at just $50, giving brides the opportunity to choose a picture perfect dress in a way that all their bridesmaids can afford. And here’s the best part. Bridesmaids get to return the dresses! So their memories are of how fun the wedding was and not the once-worn dress gathering dust in their closet.
