Brooke + Matthew’s wedding captured by Loren of Nectarine Photography isn’t just total a head turner, it’s super sweet and personal. They began with a ceremony at a nature reserve with their 17th-month old Max by their side (spoiler alert: he totally steals the show!). Afterward, they reunited with their 80 guests for an elegant reception at Perth’s historic Lamont’s Bishop House featuring desert-inspired neutrals, textural elements, and elevated details. Planner Tiffany of Tiffany Keal Creative Studio takes us through the design process below.

Tiffany explains, In each wedding, we consider all elements: the venue, the location, the grounds, the history of the building, the couple and how they met. It all plays a very important role in the final visual outcome. Brooke and Matthew gave us a completely open brief to create something magical. When there are no visual limitations or requests this can be daunting to approach. However, when given the freedom to dream up a concept, some of the most wonderful creations can come to life.
The focal point of the reception design was their “it is written in the stars” backdrop surrounded by bold yet organically flowing blooms in nude hues.
The quote spoke to B + M’s journey together since high school, and served as a jumping off point for the rest of the design.
The color palette: tones of creams, clay, nude, rust, and burnt rose
We love exploring colour palettes, layering textures and tones. This wedding in particular was bound together by the unique colour palette, which was crucial for this minimalist approach to become so much more. The styling was approached with a contemporary minimalist feel to contrast the beautiful grounds of Lamont’s Bishops House, one of Perth’s most historical buildings.
