If you’re following along with our Insta Stories, you might’ve seen that last month we got to preview The Black Tux‘s Party-Ready collection, out this fall, at a super fun dinner party here in LA. Once we caught sight of the new styles, we knew we wanted to share them with you all in our next shoot. Sure, the collection isn’t launching quite yet, but we didn’t want to wait until December to have fun with them, especially since the pieces are so versatile for parties year-round. Seriously, groom, groomsmen, or wedding guest, these looks are so perfect for a relaxed yet sophisticated look.

(Even though the Ruby Velvet Tuxedo hasn’t launched yet, you can still achieve a bold look with the Rose Shawl Collar Tuxedo currently available to rent. Hello September weddings!)

One fun thing we had the chance to do this time around is work with The Black Tux’s in-house designers to style the collection for a variety of occasions. These guys definitely know their stuff and recognize that if you’re on the market for a suit rental, it’s probably not something you’re going to wear everyday, but a chance for you to make a statement and sport something really memorable. Wedding guest style can be pretty confusing, and we know how often guys feel limited in what they can wear to special events like weddings and parties.

Isn’t the new color palette so good for celebratory occasions? You can always opt for one of The Black Tux’s more classic looks, but the upcoming collection is all about giving a festive, laidback spin on formalwear. The best part? You don’t have to purchase a whole new ensemble with each event. The Black Tux has a two week rental window to provide guys with more than one opportunity to style their duds for different occasions. And, you can always pair it with shoes and accessories you already own (though you can totally rent them, too).

We couldn’t help but give the new collection a little summer flair (because… SoCal), but it goes without saying that you’ll want this line on your radar when holiday parties and New Years Eve rolls around later this year.

And guys, don’t be shy about pairing any of their gear with your own fave sneakers, jeans, t-shirt, or accessories. The key to pulling off a bold colored suit or jacket is striking a balance between playful and occasion-appropriate, relaxed and elevated. Balance, friends, it’s all about balance.

Don’t mind us, just giving this look a little tour of our fine city… Seriously, we were pretty excited about this rare opportunity to get super creative with formalwear, which is so often thought of as a bit stale and uninspired. Not here and definitely not with these designs!
