Love a wedding cake that’s inspired by fine art, don’t you? There’s so much at play here in this editorial captured by Erin Tetterton, from decor + styling inspired by different 17th century paintings to completely custom fashion for their vintage bride. Art + history lovers, you’ll want to see how Sincerely Pete + the team below pulled it together for a romantic wedding in the historic Salubria manor at Germanna Foundation in Virginia:

How perfect are these Topshop heels?

In addition to using Dutch Masters + the Dutch Golden Age movement in the arrangements by Taffy Floral and tablescape below, the team styled their vignette after the work of 17th century French Rococo painter Jean Honore Fragonard. They drew from The Swing and The Stolen Kiss. By combining different styles from the same relative time periods across Europe, they were able to create an entirely new aesthetic for their unique bride + groom.

The bride’s makeup by Rachel Lane Makeup was even inspired by 17th century trends, with a focus on a pop of color with the cheeks. Told ya we were talking details, here!

The dove-grey two-piece dress was designed and hand made by Sera Vero Nik specifically for the bride. It features an Italian linen collar and chenille lining. The groom is wearing a custom Swiss dot tuxedo by Lapel. His look is finished with an artisan made bowtie from Brackish Bow Ties and a vintage pocket watch with authentic Victorian chain and fob from Mangan Jewelers.

Love how Erin’s photo style mimics bold and moody paintings of the past.
