California wedding at Rancho Bernardo Inn: Sharrah + Tyler

California wedding at Rancho Bernardo Inn

One thing we love about Sharrah + Tyler’s California wedding, as captured by Suzi Jacobs: They managed to play to the seasons with a cozy fall vibe (homemade cider + blankets for guests to name a few details), while staying true to their light, romantic aesthetic. Sharrah is a vlogger and she and her mom even shared videos of their entire 9-month process on her channel, which made planning for 200 even more memorable. See how it all turned out below:

Sharrah tells it, I knew I wanted our wedding to be unique and to have just the right amount of detail. Not too much detail where it would feel overwhelming, but just enough to make it special, romantic, elegant and unique. Thank goodness I had the most talented team of event designers, coordinators and florists who helped me design to the fall season without losing my vision!

Their signature cocktails were ‘Blushing Bride’ sangria cocktails in blush coupes and ‘About Figgin’ Thyme’ mules in copper mugs.

Our dinner reception was just perfection. It was at the Santiago Courtyard the Rancho Bernardo Inn property that had a brick outdoor patio with two gorgeous swooping trees that were draped in white lights creating this dreamy canopy effect. SD Social Lights strung extra market lights overhead, giving off plenty of ambiance. Archive Rentals really blew me away with their table settings—talk about romance! We reused a lot of our ceremony floral pieces on the tables and infused a few new arrangements in these beautiful brass containers as well. We had a live band that serenaded our guests with jazz music during dinner. The entire night just felt so intimate and beautiful.

Final words of advice from our bride… If I could give all the brides out there a piece of advice it would be to have a bridesmaid or friend remind you throughout the day/night to take mental snapshots every hour of your wedding. It all goes by so fast, but having someone constantly whisper a reminder to take it all in will really help to slow it down. Oh and also, definitely invest in the wedding photos and the video—it’s so worth the cost because it’s the only way to relive it over and over!

Sharrah and Tyler exchanged handwritten letters the morning of the wedding, which helped them start the day on a high note. Plus, Tyler’s letter revealed their surprise honeymoon destination, Tahiti! So sweet. Congrats, you two!
