Colorful day of the dead party inspiration
Morning guys! Who else is still finalizing festive weekend plans? These photos from By Amy Lynn Photography that Layered Vintage sent our way of their Dia de los Muertos party inspiration is sure to help you finalize any last minute design choices not to mention we’ve got a cocktail recipe for your weekend sipping…
Jill of Layered Vintage says, This design concept came from Nic of Nic Roc Designs who wanted to celebrate the influences that Mexico has on our everyday life. We reached out to Casa Artelexia for some authentic decor and styling tips on how to decorate a proper shrine—a garland made of marigolds, crosses and tons of candles.

OK, about time for the cocktail recipe from Snake Oil Cocktail Co, yeah?
Añejo tequila, pressed lemon, honey, fresh ginger, ancho chile, Tajin salt, sage
1.5 oz. añejo tequila
.75 oz. ancho chile infused honey syrup
.75 oz. pressed lemon juice
3 quarter size round slices of fresh ginger
5 sage leaves (3 are for garnish)
Muddle ginger in a mixing tin. Add remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Strain over fresh ice in a double old fashioned glass filled with ice and gently rimmed with a 50/50 Tajin/kosher salt blend. Garnish with sage leaves.
Casa de Glory in Mission Hills San Diego actually has design elements from Spain, Morocco, Guatemala, Mexico and more… Definitely no shortage of color and charm in this space.
Gotta have a good cake too, right? Take it away, Hey There Cupcake!
Such a thoughtful, beautiful way to celebrate day of the dead here in California. Thanks to the team below for inspiring us!
