Jennifer, a creative project manager at lululemon athletica + her guy Jeff, a musician (member of Gold & Youth) knew instantly that Parker Palm Springs was the venue for them. They also had an editorial aesthetic in mind for their photos, so when a friend showed them James Moes’ website, they were hooked. We mean, how amaze are these images?

They wanted the venue’s midcentury aesthetic to come through in everything they did, from their wedding website to their outfits, and beyond:
Jennifer says, The hotel’s interiors were designed by Jonathan Adler, and it is eclectic, extremely chic, and a little bit over the top – in the best way! Jeff and I have been vacationing at the Parker for a number of years and every time we go we are blown away by the setting, the decadence, and the service at the hotel. It’s so relaxed and intimate, incredibly luxurious, private, and can be a real party if you are in the mood for it. They were so happy to find Cathy at Celebrations Of Joy to make sure everything ran smoothly.
In lieu of traditional favors, these two wrote each of their 35 guests a note letting them know why they are so special to them. They got to watch everyone read their notes, and it’s one of their fave things about having such an intimate affair.
Jeff and I both have musical tastes that lean towards the 60s, 70s, and 80s so to us the most important thing was setting the mood through the music. Our most extravagant splurge was flying in our favorite DJ (and friend) Trevor Risk to do all the sound design for the day. He played everything from Cole Porter to Depeche Mode.
Jen’s advice: Trying to please everyone or get unanimous approval will drive you crazy. It should be fun! Our motto was “if it feels stressful—it’s getting cut”!
