Marty and Claire’s wedding had a colorful, crafty, and fun vintage inspired hodgepodge spin to it. Their mid-century boutique venue, The Pearl, was half the charm. The rest was all thanks to Claire and her DIY magic. Like every single floral arrangement you’ll see, including that colorful bit up above. Claire made them months in advance using nothing but dried flowers (which also made for one less thing to worry about the day of the wedding). Lots of other goodies to check out in this one thanks to the awesome photography by Captured by Aimee!

The highlight of their wedding invitations were these tea stained hankys. The graphics were hand stamped with custom rubber stamps and each hanky was wrapped around a linen postcard reply card that was customized for each guest’s home state or city.

We love Claire’s bit of advice: DIY like crazy, only if it is fun for you. (Long engagements give you more time for projects. Don’t drive yourself nuts. This should be fun!)
Congratulations C + M!

Yeah, this wedding rocks. What a cool idea. Love this off the beaten track ideas.
The photography is very nice, too. The shots of the flowers on the table is really nice.
I love the flowers you used! I have been looking for dried flowers for my wedding because I think they are beautiful. Can I ask where you found yours? Thanks!
The wedding is beautiful – the pictures, marvelous! Kudos to the photographer!
Wow. I love it. Very Americana Southwest meets vintage… how fun! The photography captures the ambiance perfectly. I wish that I was invited.
Thank you all for sweet comments and to 100 Layer Cake for highlighting our wedding!
Andy, I ordered the flowers wholesale from Mountain Farms (http://www.mountainfarms.com/). They shipped them across the country and they arrived in perfect condition. I cheated a bit and spray painted the Aqua color pods. All the other flowers were well preserved with beautiful colors. These took much longer to make than I expected. Consider keeping them simple unless you are up for a more tedious project!
Hope that helps. C
What a fun wedding! Love the location and the photography. The tea stained hankys with the lips and mustache are so creative. Bravo!
Beautiful color scheme – the pictures are so vivid!

Hi! I am in love with your theme and color palette. Gorgeous wedding! I am also considering using dried flowers for our arrangements, and was wondering if you could give me a rough idea of how much you ended up needing to do everything? Thanks!!
