Mei is coming out with it. Her and Andy met on eHarmony. Mei wanted to meet someone other than law students, lawyers or anyone associated with the law. Andy wanted to meet someone other than a scientist. However, they both found it very hard to meet people who were not associated with their professions, so naturally they went online and set up profiles. She was Andy’s first match and the first girl he contacted! Now fast forward to their very fashionable wedding… with a piñata ending!

Of course we’re loving this bouquet. Peonies, billy balls, ranunculus and tulips, so pretty!

This project sits close to my heart. I went through thousands of photographs to find one of us and our guests to pin up for our escort cards. We went back years and years. We found pictures from my law school days, Andy’s graduate school days, and our travels, birthdays, dinner parties, etc. It brought back a lot of memories. We printed all the pictures at Costco and hung them up with little wooden clips I purchased on Amazon and string from Home Depot.

Although the most tedious, another favorite project was collecting all the appetizer/salad plates, wine glasses, teacups, and linen napkins. We spent months and months collecting them, spending countless weekends at a nearby swap meet. It was very time consuming but totally worth it at the end. It added so much character to our wedding and enhanced the theme we were hoping to go for.

Both of us were dreading our first dance because we are not dancers, and we knew how awkward we were going to look so we wanted to choose something fun like, “Let’s Get It On” by Marvin Gaye. It was unexpected but fun.

And because their wedding date just so happened to land on Cinco de Mayo, you better believe they included a colorful piñata.
