As pretty as the weddings we feature are, it should be noted that they’re not always an easy task to pull off. Example: the 3 full changeovers it took to set up the barn used for Lisa + Rory’s ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception (you’ll see in the post following this pretty one). Here was the dilemma: L + R live in the Middle East and were having friends and family from across the globe attending. Oh and they wanted a 3-day extravaganza, packed full of events starting with this river picnic, barbecue welcome party. Lisa was spot on when she told us Mary Harrington, design extraordinaire of Forever and Ever Events was an absolute legend for managing the countless venue and room changes, with more props and detailing you could shake a bouquet at.
Over the river and past the white balloon trail to blankets, baskets and picnic bliss.
We know these weekend long wedding events can take a lot out of you, but if it’s within your budget to do so, we highly recommend. What a memorable experience not only for you, but for all your close pals that you wouldn’t tire of spending an entire weekend with.
As the sun came down, the bbq and games were out in full effect.
We need to find out where to score that metallic bocce ball set!
