Reasons why you’re going to love Rachel + Stefan: 1) They met in kindergarten and played footsie in the 2nd grade. 2) They were crowned Duke and Duchess at their senior prom. 3) Their wedding date marked the 9 year anniversary of them dating. 4) Rachel writes and curates an incredibly well designed blog, Elephantine. Why you’ll adore their green, white, blush & black wedding with pretty paper goods: 1) Rachel designed and printed gorgeously cute invitations. 2) She’s got great DIY tips to share. 3) They kept the guest list small (40 people) and skipped traditions they didn’t feel strongly about. 4) JL Photografia photographed it!

Rachel didn’t have a budge in mind for their invitations since she was designing and printing them herself. Just the cost of paper and ink did it. Paper & envelopes came from Paper Zone and the printer she used was a Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II. Check out Rachel’s blog post for a more in depth look at the process!

They walked down the aisle to the instrumental version of one of their favorite songs: Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want by The Smiths.

Food favors are always the best! If they’re DIY, even better. Their mini jar favors were filled with homemade wildflower honey and Greek olive oil. Love it and want to know how to make them? Head over to Elephantine for the tutorial!

We wanted something small for our 40 guests, understated, and most importantly, fulfilling to the taste buds. It was an easy decision to have our wedding at a restaurant, and Canlis ended up being the perfect venue. We had a private room with designated areas for the ceremony and dinner reception. The food and service were both fantastic, and we had a gorgeous view overlooking Lake Union.
