Sometimes it’s easy to choose a single concept and run with it, and sometimes you want to incorporate a few different themes, like destinations or cultures, into your wedding. So many rad ideas influenced Michelle Elaine Weddings and the team below when dreaming up this editorial at The Foundry, from the vibrant colors of Day of the Dead to Indian floral garlands to the idea of bringing your favorite destination home to NYC. Thanks to Kristy May Photography & Arina B Photography for capturing all the incredible details!

Loooove us a good monochromatic pink tablescape around here.

Michelle tells it, The inspiration behind this look was a destination wedding come to life in NYC… I very purposely wanted the wooden benches to create a more casual look, hence beachside, and the wooden chargers and vintage teak flatware were selected to tie in some masculinity alongside the other very colorful elements. I really had this very clear direction to set forth inspiration to those brides, grooms and couples looking for destination wedding design ideas, as well as showcasing that you can create this in NYC if you needed to!

Pretty amazing cake by Nine Cakes to match the colorful vibe.

For the florals, it was all about mixing color, textures, and sizes.

Ahn of Designs by Ahn explains, Muted colors have been so popular lately, it was so refreshing to work on this colorful mood! We loved the inspiration and just ran with it since it is not every day we get to work with rich, saturated colors at weddings. We wanted this display to really pop, and the backdrop to give the overall look some movement—the strung flowers reminded me of some Mandaps we have created in the past—while the table shone with a lush assortment of different sized arrangements. I love doing this because, each guest gets something a little different based on where they are sitting and no two arrangements are quite the same.
