Two of our favorite bridal aesthetics couldn’t be more different, but together? Pure magic. Gothic romance and angelic wedding inspiration are both having a moment, and this Black Swan-inspired editorial brings the two together in the most beautiful way. Think ethereal bridal fashion, moody florals, dramatic draping, and just the right amount of dark romance.
Dreamed up by our member HONEY Events & Design, the concept explores two sides of bridal style. The White Swan is soft, dreamy, and almost otherworldly, with all the delicate romance we’re loving in the angelic bridal trend. The Black Swan is her darker, more daring counterpart, embracing the mystery, drama, and seductive beauty of Gothic romance. And honestly, we’re having a hard time choosing a favorite.
Set against the romantic architecture of La Petite Chapelle, the team created a setting that feels part old-world romance, part fashion fantasy. Sculptural florals by Mossy Floral Design, dramatic draping, and a beautiful mix of delicate textures and bolder details bring the two worlds together.
With gowns from Bridal Boutique of Cambridge, accessories by Blair Nadeau Bridal, and beauty by Pearl Girl Makeup Studio, the bridal looks tell two very different stories. One feels light, romantic, and almost celestial. The other is bold, mysterious, and wonderfully dramatic.
The wedding details are just as lovely, with fabric draping and a cannoli tower, which is always a welcome addition in our book.
Captured by Hematite Images, the whole editorial is a beautiful reminder that bridal style doesn’t have to be one thing or the other. Angelic and ethereal? Gothic and dramatic? Turns out they’re even prettier together.
Consider this your invitation to embrace a little of both.
