Orange poppy California wedding: Natalie + Seth

Categories   Real Weddings

Morning, lovelies! The wedding of Natalie + Seth is a total cute-splosion. Bright floral arrangements, one incredible Monique Lhuillier dress corset (you’re going to die when you see it!) + Vera Wang dress skirt, an adorable posse of flower kids in the cutest attire, and the sweet family cottage where their wedding took place are putting us in high spirits this Monday morning.

The fabulous Darlingville created a modern design that merged both of their styles and tied it into every paper good you’ll see at the reception.

Wow, right? That corset is flawless. But, then again we all know Monique Lhuillier can never do wrong. And, the flowy, dream-like skirt – that’s the work of none other than, Vera Wang. Are we crazy to think that the corset would look fab paired with a pair of skinny jeans and a blazer?

The entourage of flower kids might very well be the icing on the cake. Cute overload!

We married at my family cottage outside Healdsburg in Alexander Valley. It was very dear to me because it was my Grandmother’s home. Now that my Grandmother has passed and it is a vacation home, Seth and I go there often. Because of the gorgeous setting and emotional connection, it was an easy decision and the first decision we made.

Something to consider when choosing to have a wedding at a venue that is not usually used for events: Because it is a family home, we didn’t have to pay for the venue. However, this meant that we had to rent everything from the forks to the lighting to the portable loo’s.

You won’t be surprised to know that Natalie is a floral and event designer – yep! So, of course she is to credit for the amazing florals. Because she was making flower magic happen, she decided to keep most all of the details non-DIY. Since she’s fortunate enough to know many amazing people in the wedding industry, she thought it best to support them and focus her efforts on the overall look and feel of the day.

It was so fun to be part of something that I do almost every weekend (from the client side of things). I learned so much about what my brides are experiencing from their end, and loved seeing everything come together!

Congrats N + S!
