Are you considering planning a smaller wedding? Are you having to plan a smaller wedding due to Covid 19? Do you have a smaller budget?
This couple has a little piece of advice… Do what makes YOU happy! Family dynamics, traditions, and trends can be overwhelming and can stifle the creative process. We were so grateful to have people around us who encouraged us to break the mold and plan the day we would absolutely love! We kept our guest list to 32 people, had a wedding on a Thursday, pulled the whole thing off in 5 weeks, and I wouldn’t change a thing. The planning process was so fun because I knew at the end of it, we’d have the day we had always dreamt of!
Clearly, after looking through these images by Ariana Tennyson Photography you can feel the love, joy, and excitement that we all were experiencing!Stone House Creative made their boho backyard garden party dreams come alive.
How cute is it to have their cat at the ceremony? Must be a super chill cat, ha!
We asked Kat and Same about their most memorable moment? The most memorable part of the day was the afternoon leading up to the ceremony. We were in our favorite place in the world, our parents backyard, with our incredibly talented sister Ariana taking photos. We’ve shot with her many times over the years and taking photos was so easy, familiar, and fun! Our love playlist my husband and I put together over our 10 year relationship was playing over the yard, while my bridesmaids played with our florist’s baby in the shade and our groomsmen enjoyed some drinks on the patio. While we were still technically prepping, I loved watching all of our hard work come together with the most beautiful decor and seeing our family sharing in our excitement. And all this was secondary to being wrapped in the arms of my handsome man, feeling the emotions of finally arriving at our wedding day, and feeling so blessed that a day like this could be ours!
Intimate, micro weddings are clearly on the rise and we can see why. Thank you both for sharing your love story with us.
