Hi Cakies! Today’s a super fun day because I get to reminisce about my adventures in Costa Rica a few weeks ago. I was honored to attend an incredible floral experience by Karen Tran and a group of inspiring women entrepreneurs. We stayed at the lush and open Andaz Resort At Peninsula Papagayo. This unique resort reflects the indigenous nature of Costa Rica with the uncomplicated and personalized service associated with the Andaz experience. And they have a super cute bus just perfect for photo insta-worthy ops! For this trip, I teamed up with a dear friend Melle Houston Photography to experience all that Andaz has to offer.
First up, the POOL! They have three sprawling pools overlooking the Culebra Bay. One side is more kid-friendly while the other is perfect for us adults. Truly each area is really nice, with amazing service and cocktails. 100LC approved!
We loved the DIY snowcone station!
There’s a beaching walking distance from the hotel but it’s pretty small, so you can also take a quick shuttle ride over to The Beach Club. We popped over one day right after it had just rained. It was pretty magical to see the storm roll in and out right over the water. There’s plenty of wildlife to see along the way from exotic birds and monkeys to something new for me: the Coati, a tropical raccoon.
One of our favorite perks of Andaz was the cocktail tasting. Their mixology program is top notch, and we sampled some incredible spirits!
Throughout our stay, we dined and got to know some of the attendees of Karen’s masterclass. Karen is known for her larger than life floral experiences. Attendees traveled from all over the world to get a taste of how you begin to create on this level. On our last evening, we were hosted for a Tropical Glam Gala. Each attendee worked tirelessly to create all the centerpieces, which I was told took *eight men* to carry and place on the table. It was truly a beautiful sight and so magical to dine under.
Thank you Andaz for the incredible experience! We look forward to finding ourselves back in Costa Rica to explore the hot springs, volcanos, and beaches. This was just a glimpse but for a few days it was the perfect getaway.
xo, Jillian
