Charming theme, check. Stunning color palette, check. And a unique twist? This wedding inspiration design + styled by Something Borrowed Portland that Hazelwood Photo captured has that covered too. Their Lady Evelyn gown alone is a head turner, so you can imagine how the rest of their celestial vignette turned out…
We were initially really inspired by the idea of a non-traditional wedding gown. When we saw the silver Lady Evelyn UK gown we fell in love and it inspired the “Over the Moon” concept. We envisioned a night-time wedding that mixed modern industrial styling with textural earthy materials. So we created a rich, moody look that features shades of plum, blue and black, silver mirrored accents, dark velvet, lots of twinkling lights, moon and star icons, and natural elements like marble and crystals. We brought pops of wine, fuchsia and green colors in with the floral arrangements.
Isn’t this whole table so incredible? The team mentioned that this could also make for a spectacular holiday party or New Year’s celebration… Done!
Our talented team came up with lots of fun ideas, like projecting images of the galaxy over the model, arranging the table settings to look like eclipsing moons, hanging Edison bulbs over the table in place of candles, and creating a twinkling candlelit altar background with a circular shelf to look like the moon. The juxtaposition of natural and industrial elements creates a beautiful richness that we all really loved.
