Raise your hand if you can’t get enough wine country weddings. Or garden weddings for that matter–we’re especially smitten with these two themes combined. Organic flower arrangements and romantic bridal looks just call for a setting like Solage Calistoga, and Spreading Lovely is full of design tips for all you planning right about now. Thanks to Sorella Muse for the photos below!
Tip #1: Hand-drawn floral motifs add a delicate organic whimsy to a classic invitation suite, while a custom wax seal adds a finishing elegant touch. Work with a calligrapher or designer to create something unique for your wedding, and tie the floral motif or wax seal into other paper goods, from the place cards to the menus!
Tip #2: Dress changes are the perfect way to let you express your bridal style! If you’re wearing something more traditional for the ceremony, like lace or long sleeves, surprise your guests by opting for color next and change into a floral patterned or pastel toned gown for the reception.
They chose two different Ivy + Aster dresses, one for cocktail hour and one for a more formal reception (see below!).
Tip #3: Wine country weddings don’t have to be just about cabernets and pinots! Crafting signature cocktails that reflect your favorite libations are a fun way to infuse color and personality into your day.
Tip #4: An olive leaf adds a subtle organic feel to a sophisticated tablescape. Bringing in natural greenery or herbs alongside gold flatware and elaborate centerpieces balances out the earthy with the luxe, which is what wine country is all about.
Gotta have a romantic, sophisticated cake too! See the rest of this editorial in our gallery:
