Just because the temps have started dropping a bit (have all you LA Cakies enjoyed the cooler weather this week?!) doesn’t mean we’re packing up and taking all our events inside. Not yet anyway! This rustic camp themed shoot from Olivia Gird Photography + Home Imagined was based on the idea of an intimate wedding incorporating a couple’s love of the great outdoors.
The rustic, natural color palette: grey-lavender, navy, taupe, and fern green.
A station of well-wishes was made for guests to send to the couple. They were able to write a note to the couple and wrap it around a small stick and in the evening, a few toasts would be made around a roaring campfire and each stick would be set ablaze with positive and loving intentions for a happy marriage. Cute idea!
Gotta have camp themed snacks!
We imagined woodsy vows with a small group of family and dear friends. After the ceremony, to give the couple time alone, we sent the guests along one trail and the couple on a parallel trail. During this mini hike, there were refreshment stations every so often with notes about the couples love story and how they met. As part of their stationery suite, a map was included which showed the parallel trails and the point of arrival at the reception cabin. Guests found themselves at a rustic cabin and a continued cocktail hour filled with multiple pots of fondue, sweets, savory bites and libations.
