Morning guys! We have a fun event recap for you that took place last month for an amazing cause. Hostess Haven, Layered Vintage, + Adore Folklore rounded up their best ideas and fave vendors in support of an incredible industry family in need, Tori + Austin Hendrix + their two littles. (You can read their story here.) As you can tell from Jess Isaac’s photos, it was a gorg evening of popup shopping, sweets tasting, and dance partying.
Farra Miron of Hostess Haven along with Jill of Layered Vintage gathered a team of vendors in our community at Luce Loft in downtown SD. It was such an emotionally charged night with all of the support and energy surrounding the Hendrix Family. Adore Folklore created lounges that married Morocco and Tulum and Coco Carpets were draped in any empty space we could find. We wanted to channel the warmth found in both exotic destinations and so Layered Vintage created a punchy tropical leaf installation built around a huge nail art sign made by Hostess Haven.
Already feeling more relaxed just looking at this space…
Everyone got to mingle and purchase goodies from all the vendors involved…
…Which naturally included Michael Antonia of The Flashdance throwing the best dance party around that mimicked Tori + Austin’s wedding night too.
A Miho Experience served up oysters and their truck eats and Barçon crafted Tulum inspired cocktails in coconuts. We danced, we drank, we shopped and most importantly we raised $1400 for a family that has been hit heavy with medical bills. It’s amazing to feel the energy of friends and a community from San Diego and Los Angeles gathered collectively in the same space.
