You caught the Italian wedding we featured here on 100lc yesterday, yes? It totally blew us away. Like we explained, these two had their wedding three days at their venue, Masseria Potenti. The rehearsal dinner had an amazing “Travellers and Troubadours” theme where not only did Olivia + Stefano play the part, but all the guests too. And as you’ll see below, it definitely warranted a post all of its own.
Thanks to Cinzia Bruschini for these swoon-worthy pics!
Eva of Chic Weddings in Italy tells us about planning a themed event for 200 guests:
We developed the theme called “vintage troubadours” considering that many of the guests were singers/musicians. We wanted to have a sort of gypsy feeling for the night where we had recreated a vintage caravan decoration at the entrance of the pool area in the alcove. We organized a mute show, with shadows, a man and a woman were representing a theatrical show about love and marriage and they dedicated this to Olivia and Stefano. The atmosphere here was very romantic, despite no one spoke for more than 20 minutes, all the eyes were caught by this delicate show. Guests then stayed by the pool area, in the grass, some played the piano, others played guitars, everyone felt happy and the night passed under a beautiful sky covered with stars.
The custom tambourines also went with their 50s beach themed party on day 3.
Olivia says, We tried to keep it laid back and bohemian, and our friends helped us to achieve this. Everyone reclined on Persian rugs or hay bales on the grass and we provided instruments for our musical guests to spontaneously play if they felt like! It really created magical pockets of groups of friends and family catching up!
Aren’t these two just the cutest ever?!
More from their magical night…
