When an event designer plans her own engagement party, you know it’s gonna be good. When she goes with a Parisian theme and whips up delish desserts to go along with it, you know it’s really good. And of course, that’s just what happened in this chic bistro-style party shot by Katie Pritchard Photography.
Now for the bride-to-be + party planner: Samantha of Samantha Dapper Event Design recently got engaged, so naturally her impulse was to host a sweet get together to celebrate…
My fiancé and I both love Parisian culture and as soon as the theme was decided I started thinking of ideas that were a nod to the culture, without being too over the top, sort of a bistro-chic style. The party was held in my parents beautiful backyard. I had black and white stripe runners made for the tables and hand painted all of the signage, dessert backdrop and gold vessels for the flowers. The flowers! Shindig Chic is so incredible. The garland that hung on the cabana made my heart happy!
Samantha revamped some vintage pieces to throw into the Parisian mix.
That’s sure one beauty of a sparkler!Heywood Gourmet Grilled Cheese, muddled lemonade, and croissants for the guests to take home…
Samantha says, One of my favorite things was seeing everyone sitting at the cafe tables all in a row, it was exactly the bistro feel I wanted. I really hoped the party would reflect our style and personality and most importantly, that our guests had a great time. Cheers!
