How’s this for a theme: mountains, trees, nature and beer. It’s the type of wedding two people that discovered each other over their love of craft brews (and got engaged by a lake) are meant to have. If you’re lucky enough to marry in Oregon, like Mrs. Alex + Mr. Danny did, just know that you won’t have to spend much of your budget on decor. The nature surrounding them was so breathtakingly gorgeous that we’re positive elaborate decorations would have been overlooked. Especially if your venue is a historic treasure like Timberline Lodge, which, for all you film buffs, also served as the exterior of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining. The snow in the mountains, the subtle touches of sage in the succulents, Merdith Perdue‘s sweet photographs and not one sighting of Jack Nicholson around — a romantic wedding indeed.
We love us a succulent bridal bouquet! It will literally last you a lifetime. Just plant it after the wedding and you’ll have yourself a mini succulent garden.
Like we mentioned earlier, decorations were not needed. The touches Alex added here and there were minimal and artfully tied into the surrounding nature. Alex collected 1800s book engravings of some of their favorite trees, framed them and used them as centerpieces.
Congratulations Alex + Danny!
