Jewel-toned bohemian wedding at The Acre Orlando
One way to land on the perfect wedding theme? Base every decision on whether or it not it screams “US”! When planning their wedding at lush venue The Acre Orlando with Ashton Events, Fallon + Josiah focused creating an environment. So when guests walked in, they’d see them in everything, feel their energy, and take in their journey. When it all came together, it was a free-spirited boho wedding complete with jewel tones and macrame, that repped them to a T.
Thanks to Julia of Darling Juliet for sharing their beautiful rainy day photos below!
Their first look quite literally knocked Josiah off his feet!
It actually rained all day long until about 15 minutes before the ceremony. So unnerving but it sure makes for some absolutely stunning photos, huh?
Five bridesmaids wore emerald and five wore plum dresses from Leave Her Wilder, each in whatever style they loved best.
Fallon tells it, With us both being from Ft. Lauderdale we knew the majority of our guests would be coming from south Florida. However we had spent our one and a half years of engagement in Orlando, so we decided to make everyone road trip. We wanted to have our family and friends experience the place we had called our first home together. We toured a few venues and the second we walked into The Acre we were hooked. (We even looked after and it felt like we were betraying it.) The greenery, the vibe and the property manager all made us feel like it was right. The Acre isn’t a traditional venue, it’s a big footprint with a ton of space for creativity to make the celebration an experience for our guests.
Outside of the actual ceremony, we didn’t want anyone to feel burdened to a specific section of the venue. We wanted it to feel like a festival with something to do or see or experience in little pockets of the space. We decided to have an artist friend of ours illustrate a little site map that could resemble something from Coachella with icons directing the guests to certain experiences. It was a ton of fun to plan out.
The bridal bouquet by Ashton Events had a moody blend of reds and purple hues, including Fallon’s fave, king Protea.
They had all these unique graphics on plum acrylic throughout. So good with the jewel toned blooms and macrame!
From the team at Ashton Events: We used bold, colorful blooms all throughout the design of the day. Underneath that gorgeous, giant tipi tent we combined a mixture of floral arrangements with lots of lanterns and candles to create a wide array of tablescapes and centerpieces. We loved using a variety of round tables with linens, wooden farm tables, and square wooden tables. Every table was a different look and feel, which was so fun and gave each guest a different experience. The bold use of prints and patterns was one of our favorite aspects of the day, especially the gold velvet and Aztec print linens from Nuage Designs.
Cute boho sweetheart table!
Fallon’s Grace Loves Lace wedding dress is a match made in heaven for her laidback style, don’t you think? Perfect for dancing, too!
All the yummy vegan desserts, please.
She rocked a sweet bridal hat with flowers for the reception festivities… also a lovely match for the dress.

Their story: My name is Josiah and my beautiful wife is Fallon. We met many moons ago in a rather interesting fashion. I’m a commercial cinematographer and she would often model for a swim wear line in south Florida. One night in the studio, my mates and I had been setting up for a shoot for a few hours and she walked in and took my breath away. To this day it was one of the most fun commercial shoots I’ve been on. And now we have a badass piece to look back on of the first time we met.
Congrats to J + F!
