Dia de los Muertos inspired anniversary shoot at Vasquez Rocks
Morning, friends! Any of you celebrating Dia de los Muertos this week? When Charlie + Sarah were planning their anniversary session with Holly Castillo Photography, they were drawn to the idea of celebrating their heritage by giving everything a Day of the Dead spin. Vasquez Rocks here in SoCal could not have been a better location to make Sarah’s red skirt and Mexican-inspired bouquet srsly pop.
Urban Marigold whipped up a fall-inspired bouquet to channel the Dia de los Muertos vibe they were going for.
Sarah served as a Spanish speaking mission at her local church. She says, Serving the people during my mission definitely led to a greater passion and love for all parts of the Mexican culture. Charlie also has always had an obsession with all things skull and macabre, so he related that way as well.
They also loved the idea of honoring loved ones who had passed with a positive, joyful celebration. An anniversary is pretty perfect then, huh?
So gorg. Thanks to Holly for sharing her beautiful work with us!
