Rustic ranch wedding in Ramona, CA
Who here loves sequin bridesmaid dresses? What about white blooms and rustic details, and oh yeah, donut walls? Wedding planner Karina + her guy James wrapped it all into their wedding at a family ranch in California. To top it all off, Karina’s colleagues at Couture Events made sure the 250-guest celebration felt like an intimate countryside affair. Thanks to Bryan N. Miller for the photos!
K + J love the outdoors and the country, so it made sense to keep the color palette organic with whites, creams, blushes, lots of greenery, and of course, wood details for a more rustic, backyard feel.
Karina says, We had both the ceremony and reception on my great grandfather’s ranch. He turned 99 this year and was so honored to have us be married on his land. I grew up on the ranch and had so many memories there as a kid, I wanted to share that with James as well. No venue gave me the flexibility like the ranch and I honestly couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. We both fell completely in love with the pastures, the trees, and a space that we could truly make one of a kind!
To channel the natural feel and give everything a touch of whimsy, the Posies bouquets were full of loose white blooms and greenery. So pretty, especially paired with the rose gold bridesmaids dresses.

Karina found her Pronovias ‘Prola’ gown at Elle Bridal Boutique in San Diego, which is owned by Krystel, also the founder of Couture Events. Karina says, When I came out of the dressing room, my friends and family immediately starting crying. It was the perfect fit and the lace was nothing like I had ever seen before. My favorite part was the back detailing. Not only did I feel completely beautiful in it, I knew James would love it too.

Seeing so many brides of my own over the years, I have learned two things. One, stay true to you and your husband. Don’t get caught up in perfection. Nothing is perfect, but if you center your day on your top values, everything will fall into place. It’s all about priorities. It helps to make a list of your top priorities, so when you are making big wedding decisions you can make sure they always align with what’s truly important. And two, hire a wedding planner! I can’t tell you how many times I have heard the words, “I wish I would have hired a planner”. I feel like this is an essential part of your wedding budget. They can help with as much or as little as you need. Having professionals there to take care of everything on the day-of is ESSENTIAL. Let someone else take care of the details, while you relax and enjoy your family and friends. I don’t know what I would have done without my Couture Events family!
