Happy Thursday, friends! These photos Kenzie Victory captured in this organic wedding shoot are nothing short of swoon-worthy, but hearing the inspiration behind the designs by Mila Adams made it all the more lovely. With a handful of intentional details and a mesmerizing set of blooms, this wedding inspiration is minimal yet full of life. See for yourself!

Over the course of planning and shifting mood boards, I decided that I wanted to introduce unique, traditional elements in the shoot. I was avid about keeping the clean lines but I wanted to captivate the audience better by bring in darker blooms wildly settled in a textured vase, placing loose greenery on the place setting or choosing a paper suite full of organic lines.

Don’t you love how attainable this place setting idea is for a wedding or even dinner party?

A bit more on Mila’s inspiration… One of my favorite artists is Cy Twombly. He created stunning artistic pieces by combining interesting color combinations, shapes and elements. To some, his pieces might feel wild and unsettling. I always find them to be fluid and captivating. In a lot of his art pieces, he has this incredible way of utilizing negative space and building beautiful designs on a blank canvas. His artwork feel airy but full—it’s a fascinating concept. This is something I wanted to translate into our editorial shoot by starting out with a blank canvas (by using a studio) and bringing a balance of modern and intricate elements of design together.
