We’re capping of the week with a sweet destination wedding captured by Christina McNeill. Tina + Mike were living in D.C. at the time, but fell in love with NorCal’s Muir Woods when they hiked the area months before their wedding. And it’s pretty obvi why… (That view, anyone?) They saved money by keeping the guest list to about 25, and created an easy elegance with details like an understated cake, delicate flower displays, and a neutral color story.
Tina’s hand-tied bouquet recipe: nosegays, succulents, air plants, garden roses, rice flowers, and dianthus wrapped up in burlap.
Tina says, Our favorite part of our entire wedding was most certainly the ceremony. This for us was the most important part of our entire day and lives. Everything else was really a second thought. Our officiant Leslie Davenport worked with us during the months leading up to the wedding to personalize the entire ceremony. There were two readings from Dr. Suess, and the groom’s sister read the lyrics of “Thank You” by Led Zeppelin.
What an absolute dream of a ceremony spot!
We’re always fans of a fruit-filled tablescape.
Congrats Tina + Mike! This looks the like beautiful start of a beautiful life together…
