OK, allow us to geek out for a second over the fact that our groom today is one of the creators of Cards Against Humanity. You’ve all played that game, yes Cakies? It’s only the most fun ever. And from the looks of it, Michelle + Ben’s colorful desert wedding was just as entertaining for their 75 guests. From the multihued streamer installation designed by Hello Gem to their cute canine flower girl, we are completely smitten with every last detail captured by Fondly Forever. But that’s just what we would expect from an adventurous and fun-loving couple who met playing video games in their college dorm and shared their first kiss after getting pulled over for speeding (oops!).
Michelle says, We wanted a contrast and pop of color against the muted desert backdrop. We wanted something harmonious, but that stood out from the muted landscape.
Michelle’s motley desert bouquet recipe: peonies, airplants, protea, garden roses, icelandic poppies, silver brunia, sword fern, and acacia.
Ben says that everything they say is true about seeing your bride walk down the aisle—it is one of the few things in life that is just as amazing as it is in the movies!
After a gorgeous dinner under the stars, guests relaxed around a fire pit and were treated to a live mariachi band before Ben + Michelle’s exit through a tunnel of ribbons.
Hey fellow Angelenos. Did we mention that Michelle is opening her own coffee shop and event space in Silver Lake? Keep your eye out for Dinosaur Coffee, coming this summer.
And congrats to the happy couple!
