Historic Toronto wedding: Carla and Jesse

First of all, we’re a little jealous of Carla’s wedding venue. You probably will be too. The place had floor to ceiling pink walls! There really wasn’t much you had to do to decorate the space either. The historic ornate gold detailing, soft ivory crown molding, and crystal chandeliers did a pretty good job alone. The only real request Carla made as far as wedding must-haves were the coupe glasses for champagne. “I’ve always thought they looked glamorous”, Carla said. With all the glamorous touches she had, like her Kate Moss inspired BHLDN dress and sequin bridesmaid dresses, the coupe glasses were the right touch.

One of the places Carla was able to save some cash was with those super cute bridesmaid dresses. Ehhmm, Forever 21 for $30! Such a score.

Hello, pink walls of our dreams…

They decided to splurge on a few things, one of them being Jesse’s tux. “I think there is so much focus on what the bride is wearing, sometimes the groom gets overlooked. He looked like a million bucks.” We totally agree. He’s looking mighty dapper.

In retrospect, here’s what they would have done differently…

We were so focused on getting everything in place at the venue for the wedding, we didn’t really think about what we would do about cleanup and takedown. Because it was a city venue, we had to take everything out. I wish we had pre-organized a cleanup crew instead of having to worry about it at the end of the night.

It was a gorgeous fete nonetheless. Congratulations Carla + Jesse!
