Happy Friday, Cakies! We’re starting the day off with a romantic daytime brunch wedding from Amber Vickery. The idea of a brunch anything (bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc) always sounds like such fun, doesn’t it? It’s definitely one of the best meals of the day, so being a guest at Sarah + Jay’s wedding with a spread of open-faced egg sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, and mimosas to munch and sip on must have been amazing. And in case you’ve wondered what kind of send off you could have with a daytime wedding, since sparklers wouldn’t really work, wait until you see what they had.

Sarah saved a lot of money on her paper items (programs, invitations, table numbers) by ordering online and using smaller independent vendors from Etsy. Good tip!

Sarah’s bridal bouquet recipe: Juliet garden roses, chrysanthemums, eucalyptus, dusty miller, and scabiosa pod flowers.

Now, about that daytime exit… they had a bubble send off! How cute is that?

Now looking back, here’s what Sarah learned from the whole wedding planning process: Don’t forget to give your ceremony planning as much attention as your reception! We left choosing music, readings, and even our ushers until the last minute, but it ended up being the most memorable part of the whole day. We also saved a lot on alcohol by having a daytime wedding with just a few “brunchy” drinks served (bloody marys, peach sangria and, of course, mimosas).
