Welcome back from the weekend, Cakies! As much as we’ve been enjoying the August sunshine, we thought it would be nice to share a little wintery romance on this fine Monday morning. We know lots of you are planning winter weddings right now, and this South Carolina shindig is full of elegant inspiration for the colder months. Influenced by the bride’s time in France, Maggie + Pat’s wedding style was all about muted metallics, weathered finishes, and just a touch of sparkle to usher in the New Year. Our Labor of Love was there to capture the grand, 250-guest celebration.
Maggie’s fluffy, white, peony bouquet is totally perfect for a winter wedding, yes?
This bride’s got style all right… layers and layers of tulle with vintage fur and long, white gloves.
The ceremony was held at the church where Maggie was baptized, her mother was married, and her 100-year-old grandmother is still an active member.
Maggie + Patrick danced their first dance as a married couple to “La Vie en Rose” by Louis Armstrong.
The reception venue, Huguenot Loft at the Peace Center, combined a downtown location with the historic charm of a restored mill—exposed brick, heavy beams, and beautiful hard wood floors. Just so warm and inviting!
Congrats Maggie + Patrick!
