It probably would have been suiting to have “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” playing while we were putting this post together. It’s girly to the max and so perfect for a Valentine’s Day party with the ladies. The theme for this all out pink, gold, and glittery soiree was “Oh Lovely”. Each of the hostesses invited two girlfriends for an afternoon of glittery, bubbly, giggly indulgence and requested that each guest bring a sweet treat to share and some sort of valentine-decorating supply. Oh, and a pink or gold party dress was required!
There were several stations, including a Valentine making table and pink and gold canopy over a pile of blankets and pillows, with stacks of girly magazines and glossy books to peruse.
As event vendors, we get to make all kinds of pretty things but we rarely get to enjoy them and celebrate among them. I collaborated with some of my dearest girlfriends and we decided to throw a party that was all about the ladies. The hostesses were myself, floral designer and stylist Juli Vaughn, paper goods designer Jamie Wyckoff of Julia’s Poppies, and makeup artist Andrea Carter. Since it fell shortly before Valentine’s Day, we were able to take advantage of all of the lovely pink and sparkle that the holiday has to offer!
