Alrighty… time to get our holiday inspiration on, Cakelets! We put together this gorgy shoot with the help of Erin Hearts Court, Brown Paper Design, and Sara Forte of Sprouted Kitchen. Dream team! It’s impossible to resist the romance of champagne and sweets, so we dressed up that time-tested party theme with our Holiday Bubbly Bar.

Right?! If this isn’t a recipe for a smash-hit party, we’re not sure what is. That centerpiece Danielle created had us pretty much gasping for air when it appeared at our shoot. And Sara’s beautiful deserts were as tasty as they are pretty.

This is actually a pretty manageable party theme. Grab a few (or 10) bottles of champagne and gather a handful of complementary syrups and liquors for mixing. Then add a few yummy garnishes and you’ve got a sparkly party on your hands.
Tal from the Pharmacie (our favorite cocktail guru) suggests soaking a sugar cube in bitters in the glass, then topping with bubbly. Or just add a splash of fruit-based liquor to your champagne for a DIY Royale.

Sara whipped up Pumpkin Gingersnap Trifle, Almond Date Truffles, Chocolate Peppermint Molten Cake, and a yummy cheese and fruit platter.

And we created a few sparkly party details to make sipping even more fun.

Isn’t that cake dome amazing? Bountiful in Venice loaned us a bunch of beautiful cake plates and domes for the shoot. And guess what? They’re have a HALF off holiday sale right now!

Pretty, pretty, right? We’d love to actually attend this party. Anyone want to throw one? We’ll be sharing the rest of the shoot (yes, there’s more!), and a few DIY tutorials this week too. Plus we’re giving away a copy of Sara‘s beautiful new cookbook. Stay tuned!
Hop over to our Facebook page for more photos from this shoot.

Good evening from L.A.!
I don’t know how I haven’t been here before, but it’s been a wonderfully decadent treat! The bubbly bar is just gorgeous. The colors, the arrangement, the pictures, I just feel incredibly inspired to ring in the New Year with something very similar. Thank you so much! I look forward to reading your newer posts and seeing what you decide to share with us.
Enjoy your evening!
Warmly,
Elizabeth
PS~ I made use of one of your pictures, with proper credit, and directed people to your site via my own blog as the post coming out tonight is all about a champagne bar.
These photos are so gorgeous. I’ve never seen a spread so beautiful. Amazing inspiration!

@hoppenheim WOW, thanks for spreading the love!
@Holkey The stir sticks are super easy. You’ll need bamboo skewers and Martha Stewart Eyelash yarn. Cut your stick to size, then add a dab of hot glue to the of stick, and wrap with yarn. You’ll only need to wrap 2 or 3 times. Enjoy!
Inspirational! A bubbly bar – just brilliant!
Love, love, love and timed to perfection! Am just collecting some vintage bar accessories to get my holiday ‘spirit’ happening at our house – and here your are putting so many ideas in my head!! Thanks for the inspiration! Jennifer x
These photos are absolutely gorgeous, and I definitely got some good ideas about how to decorate for the holidays, especially some of the flower arrangements. Plus the Peppermint Chocolate Molten Cake looks to die for. Thanks for being a totally reliable source on how to decorate elegantly for my next holiday party.
Not clear on what you have got in mind, Laila. Can you give us some more information?
