Arizona wedding: Courtney + Carlos

September 13, 2012

Pink and yellow pretty much rule this wedding. The hot pink patent leather pumps and gradient invites below just scratch the surface. Oh yes, the colors continue to flow right into the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl tutu’s, and cake. If that’s a hint into Courtney + Carlos’ personality, we can only imagine what a fun bunch they are.

Our save-the-dates, invitations, and wedding announcements were designed by a dear friend, Karrie Thomas. She and I worked together from across the country- she is on the East Coast and we are on the west- to create the designs. Karrie did such an amazing job, and her son was our adorable sign bearer!

Pretty sure they wore those tutu’s long after the wedding was over. Darling!

Carlos and I created a playlist for the ceremony prelude that included Bright Eyes, the Dave Matthews Band, The Civil Wars, Wakey! Wakey!, and other favorites.

Fun idea: set up a basket full of disposable cameras and a list of photo ops for guests to take advantage of. In the end, you’ll end up with so many fun and candid photos, taken of you and everyone at your wedding.

Courtney’s sweet advice:

Have fun! We loved every second of our wedding day. I want to relive it over and over! Every bride should feel that way. Decide what’s important to you and what’s not, especially if you’re doing a lot of it yourself. Include your family and friends. We couldn’t have pulled this wedding off without them, and their involvement made everything that much more special. Our families and our wedding party were amazing. Have a first look! It was such an amazing moment for us and we are so glad we did it. We are also really glad we did a “Rock the Dress” day after shoot with our photographers. It was so fun to get back in our wedding clothes and head into the city for some super creative shots. Finally, assign someone the job of reminding you to take your time and soak the whole day in! It should be the best day of your life!
