Atlanta railroad station wedding: Anne + Mike

April 11, 2012

Old Hollywood travel. How’s that for a creative wedding theme? Yeah, we were just as curious as you are to see how Anne + Mike would pull this look off. With the floral design genius of Amy Osaba and distinct, acute attention to detail photography of Tec Petaja, we’d say this “old Hollywood travel” look is a new fav. It has us wanting to pack our valise and jet off somewhere fabulous that’s for sure. These two went all the way with their theme. Their venue? An old historic railroad station and train depot! Their send off? So adorable, we’re making you scroll down to see what they did!

purple illustrated wedding invitations Erica Loesing (who works with Amy Osaba) designed all the script and images on their beautiful letterpress invitations. The pattern on the back of the invitations were meant to look like rail-car fabric and the silhouette of the man and the woman with the suitcases was their logo that went on almost everything.

Purple can sometimes be a tricky color to work with, but placed with white china, natural linens, and votives it’s pretty romantic, right?

In keeping with the old hollywood theme, their first dance was “You Send Me” by Sam Cooke, and the father daughter dance was “I’ve got plenty to be thankful for” by Bing Crosby.

And, the adorable send off we teased you about…

Guests sent Anne + Mike off by waving white hankerchiefs as they ran down the train platform in classic vintage apparel and suitcases in hand!
