A 150 guest wedding sounds like one big partay, yes? Double that number, add an unexpected downpour, and you’re instantly in the same jam as Danielle + Linus were on their wedding day. A little rain? That’s nothing when your escape route/plan B is to move the ceremony into the chandelier-lit barn where your reception was going to be, doors wide open with the pitter patter of the rain as your backdrop. Embracing the rain, D + L shared an elegant, rustic and vintage wedding under the roof of the oldest barn in Oxnard with 250 of their fabulous friends and family. Rain or shine, party’s on!

Kate Spade – the girl can make shoes, can’t she? Those navy glitter heels are killer!

The shades of pinks and purples in their bouquets (hydrangeas, dahlias, peonies, snapdragons, carnations) match perfectly with their dresses.

We had an eclectic mix of music. For the prelude to the ceremony we played a bunch of Andrew Loyd Weber as we wanted it to be dramatic and romantic. We also had music from Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis, and Moulin Rouge movie soundtrack. The ceremony started with Sigur Ros – the bridesmaids walked down to Ray LaMontagne, and I walked down to Clair de Lune. For communion we played Phil Wickham.  At the end of the ceremony we played Shes Got The Honey by Matt Kearney. My father daughter dance was to Brown Eyed Girl. The bouquet toss was fun – Sparkling Diamonds by Nicole Kidman from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. For the garder toss we played  I want to Rock Right Now by The Black Eyed Peas.
